An Israeli military pilot who participated in the aggression on Gaza revealed that the destruction of residential towers during the attack on the Gaza Strip was “a way to give vent to the army’s frustration after its failure to stop the firing of rockets from the Strip.”
“We threw tons of ammunition and fire on them in a way that no one doubts,” the Israeli pilot “D” said in an interview conducted by the Hebrew “Channel 12” with a number of pilots who participated in blowing up 9 residential towers in Gaza.
During the recent aggression on Gaza, Israeli warplanes dropped 9 towers, claiming to be using “military infrastructure,” including the Al-Galaa Tower, which houses the Al-Jazeera Network and Associated Press headquarters in Gaza.
The officer spoke of feelings shared by his colleagues, saying, “I used to go out to launch a raid with the feeling that bringing down the towers became our way to vent the frustration of what is happening to us and the success of the factions in Gaza to continue kicking us.”
He continued with his words: “We did not succeed in stopping the rocket fire. We did not succeed in affecting the leadership of the terrorist organizations, so we drop the towers.”
Israeli pilots criticized the focus on destroying tall buildings in the Gaza Strip, “and in their understanding it is not certain that it had the full effect that Israel aspires to,” according to the Israeli channel.
The pilot “N” told the channel: “We have trained a lot to bomb the towers. The Air Force prepared training models in advance and we were preparing for this day.”
The brutal Israeli aggression on the lands of the Palestinian Authority and Arab towns in Israel since April 13 has resulted in 274 martyrs, including 70 children, 40 women and 17 elderly people, while it has resulted in more than 8,900 injuries, 90 of which were classified as “very dangerous”.
According to a previous statement by the Israeli army, the Palestinian opposition fired about 4 thousand rockets at settlements in southern Israel and cities in the center of the country, including Tel Aviv, killing 12 Israelis and wounding hundreds.
