روى ابن السني عن عبد الله بن مسعود رضي الله عنه موقوفًا عليه أنه جعل من يرقب له طلوع الشمس، فلما أخبرته بطلوعها قال: “الحمد لله الذي وَهَب لنا هذا اليومَ، وأَقَالنا من عَثرَاتِنا“ قال الحافظ: هذا موقوف صحيح.
