أَلا أَخلَفَت سَوداءَ مِنكَ المَواعِدُ
وَدونَ الَّذي أَمَّلتَ مِنها الفَراقِدُ
تُمَنّينَنا غَدواً وَغَيمُكُمُ غَد
ضَبابٌ فَلا صَحوٌ وَلا الغَيمُ جائِدُ
إِذا أَنتَ أُعطيتَ الغِنى ثُمَّ لَم تَجُد
بِفَضلِ الغِنى أُلفيتَ ما لَكَ حامِدُ
وَماذا يُعَدّي المالُ عَنكَ وَجَمعُهُ
إِذا كانَ ميراثاً وَواراكَ لاحِدُ
