Some attitudes that show Abu Bakr As-Siddiq’s certainty and facilitation for Muslims..
Abu Bakr’s Certainty And His Companionship With The Muslims By Facilitating Muslims in Their Livelihood
Abu Ishaq and Ibn Abi Hatim narrated on the authority of Ibn Abbas that he said: Abu Bakr entered the schoolhouse and found Jews who had gathered to a man among them who was called Fanhaas, and he said to him: I swear to God, O’ Abu Bakr, we have no poverty for God, and he is poor to us, and if he was rich on our behalf, he would not have borrowed from us, as your friends would claim, as that Allah said:
(مَّن ذَا الَّذِي يُقْرِضُ اللَّهَ قَرْضًا حَسَنًا فَيُضَاعِفَهُ لَهُ أَضْعَافًا كَثِيرَةً ۚ وَاللَّهُ يَقْبِضُ وَيَبْسُطُ وَإِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ)
Surah Al-Baqarah verse 245, Abu Bakr got angry and hit his face, so Fanhas went to the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, and said: “O Muhammad, see what your friend has done to me”. He, peace be upon him, said: O Abu Bakr, what made you do what you did? He said: O Messenger of Allah (he recited) a great saying claiming that God is poor and they are rich on his behalf, so Finhas denied (i.e., Finhas denied the evil statement that he said about Allah Almighty), so Allah Almighty revealed his saying confirming Abu Bakr and denying Finhas in Surat Al Imran verse 181:
(لَّقَدْ سَمِعَ اللَّهُ قَوْلَ الَّذِينَ قَالُوا إِنَّ اللَّهَ فَقِيرٌ وَنَحْنُ أَغْنِيَاءُ ۘ سَنَكْتُبُ مَا قَالُوا وَقَتْلَهُمُ الْأَنبِيَاءَ بِغَيْرِ حَقٍّ وَنَقُولُ ذُوقُوا عَذَابَ الْحَرِيقِ)
Al-Bukhariyy narrated that Aisha bint Abi Bakr, Ummu_l Mu’mineen, said: My necklace fell in the desert while we were entering Medina, so the Messenger of Allah, may Allah Bless him and Grant him peace, went down and put his head in my lap (i.e., the people and the whole movement towards Medina stopped, and the Messenger of Allah laid down), then Abu Bakr came and punched me hard and said: You locked people because of a necklace, then the Prophet, peace be upon him, woke up and the time for prayer in the sun, but there was no water, so the verse of Tayammum was revealed in Surat Al-Ma’idah verse 6:
So, Usayd bin Hudair said, “Allah has blessed the people in you, O Al Bakr Family (meaning because of Allah’s facilitating the nation with Tayammum).”
The Companionship of Abu Bakr, Which is Confirmed in The Qur’an, During His Migration With The Messenger of Allah, Peace Be Upon Him
“إذْ يقولُ لصاحبِهِ لا تَحزنْ إنَّ اللهَ معَنا”
The virtue of Abu Bakr as-Siddiq is established, and his companionship to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, is known through Tawatur, and in verse 40 of Surat al-Tawbah:
And in this verse there is a testimony to the Ummah of the situation of the emigration and the companionship of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, from Mecca to Medina, and a sign of the mercy and compassion of Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq, who was afraid that the eyes of the polytheists would fall upon them while they were in the cave behind the spider webs that were woven on the door of the cave and were not present at the entrance of the Prophet, peace be upon him, and Al-Siddiq to the cave. This is one of the great signs, and therefore the scholars have clarified the status of Abu Bakr as-Siddiq, which is indicated in the Holy Qur’an and the verified biography that singled out him without the rest of the Companions by a verse from the Qur’an:
(إذْ يقولُ لصاحبِهِ لا تحزنْ إنَّ اللهَ معَنا)
So it was established for Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq, the companionship of the Messenger of Allah and the blessings of Allah to them, and so he was the first Khalifah for the Muslims after the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him.
The Situation of Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq with Bilal.. Our Master Freed Our Master
The book Jami’ Muammar bin Rashid mentioned that Ibn Sirin said: Abdullah bin Badil saw a dream and narrated it to Abu Bakr, and he said: If your dream is true, you will be killed in a day of confusion, so he was killed on the day of Siffin, and Saeed bin Al-Musayyib mentioned that Bilal, may God be pleased with him, was tormented (until he abandons the religion of Islam) So the Prophet, peace be upon him, met Abu Bakr and said: “If we had something, we would buy Bilal, so he met Abu Bakr al-Abbas bin Abdul Muttalib (uncle of the Prophet, peace be upon him) and said to him: Buy Bilal for me (so he entrusted him with the operation to free him), so al-Abbas set out to his master and said: Can you turn away this slave of yours for me before you miss his goodness and deprive his price? So, he said: Whatever you do with him, he is malicious. So, Al-Abbas repeated his statement to encourage him pledge allegiance and liberate Bilal from the slavery state. Al-Abbas bought him and sent him to Abu Bakr, so he freed him, so he said Adhan to the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him. When the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon, died, Bilal wanted to go out to Al-Sham. So, Abu Bakr said, “I have it. This is so that he will not be deprived of hearing Bilal’s call to prayer, and Medina will not be deprived of the sound of Bilal’s Adhan.” So, Bilal said: If you freed me for yourself, then lock me up, and if you freed me for the sake of Allah, then leave me to go. He said: Go, so he went to Al-Sham and stayed there until he died, and it is preferable on the authority of Omar to say about Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq and his freeing Bilal: “Our Master Freed Our Master.”
Among the Situations of Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq With The Messenger of Allah ﷺ During His Life And After His Death
And in Sahih al-Bukhariyy on the authority of Sahl bin Saad that he said what means: It was reported to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, that Bani Amr bin Auf, in Baqyaa’, had something between them, so he, peace be upon him, went out to reconcile between them among some of his companions. So, the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, was late due to completing his reform between people, and it’s time to pray. So, Bilal came to Abu Bakr and said: O Abu Bakr, the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, has been late, and the prayer has come, so can you lead the people (Be the Imam in the prayer)? He said: Yes, if you wish. So, Bilal stood for the Iqamah, and Abu Bakr came forward and said the takbeer (by entering into prayer), and the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, came walking in rows that he split open until he got up in the row and the people began to clap. Abu Bakr did not turn around when he was praying, so when most of the people increased clapping he turned his head, so the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, signaled to him to “continue the prayer.” Abu Bakr, may God be pleased with him, raised his hand and then went backward to change from an Imam to a Ma’moum behind the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, until he got up in the row and the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, came forward and prayed as an Imam. When he finished, he turned to the people and said: “O people, what is wrong with you when face something during the prayer, you started clapping. Yet, clapping is for women, whoever faces something in his prayer should say: Subhana LLah. Then, he turned to Abu Bakr, may God be pleased with him, and said: O Abu Bakr, what prevented you from praying as Imam when I referred to you? Abu Bakr said what means: It was not necessary for Ibn Abi Quhafa (He; Abu Bakir) to pray while the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, is here.
And in Sahih al-Bukhariyy also in the chapter on the obligation of zakat, Abu Huraira, may God be pleased with him, said what means: When the Messenger of Allah, may Allah Bless him and Grant him peace, died and Abu Bakr, may Allah be pleased with him, had the authority of the Muslims’ caliphate, and lots of people who disbelieved among the Arabs, Omar, may Allah be pleased with him, said: How do you fight people when The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “I have been commanded to fight the people until they say there is no God except Allah, and whoever says it, his money and his life will be protected from me, except for his right, and Allah will judge upon him.” So, he said: I swear to God that I will fight whoever differentiates between prayer and zakat, because zakat is the right of money, and I swear to God, if they prevented me from (the female of the goats who has not yet reached the age of one year) what they used to pay to the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, I would have fought them for preventing it. Omar, may Allah be pleased with him, said what means: “I swear to God, it is only that God has made it clear and righteous to Abu Bakr, may God be pleased with him, so I knew that it is the truth.”
