The European continent has been facing an intense heatwave in summer for the last couple of years, contributing to the outbreak of dozens of wildfires that experts are struggling to contain in several countries, notably Spain, Portugal, and France. Record-breaking temperatures have been recorded in the aforementioned countries, leading to hundreds of deaths, with the death toll possibly reaching thousands if the situation continues as it is now. As the heatwave moves north, southern and western Germany and southern Belgium are preparing for similarly record-breaking temperatures.
The climate changes witnessed globally have been previously warned about by specialized scientists, with international conferences held to warn of the catastrophic effects of climate change resulting from the phenomenon of global warming, which has led to an unprecedented increase in Earth’s surface temperatures. German scientists have predicted that the climate change the world will experience in the coming decades may be worse than expected, despite attempts to minimize the anticipated risks!
This assessment comes in the wake of hidden data released by the Kiel Institute for the World Economy, commissioned by the Environmental Foundation regarding the observed trends in climate change since 1990 until today. This data included monitoring levels of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, global temperatures, and sea levels. The results showed that the increase in both land and sea temperatures is at the highest expected level, and sea levels are beginning to rise at a faster rate.
This, according to experts, will lead to the flooding of several coastal cities! Felix Landerer, a geophysics expert at the German Max Planck Institute, says this will happen because the distribution of weight on the Earth’s surface will change, as the areas where water temperatures increase will expand, and low-lying areas will flood, increasing the weight of these regions.
Felix Landerer concludes his statement by saying: “Our days will become shorter in the future.” This study makes one read the current climate changes as a sign of the nearing hour and a sign of the Day of Judgment! Especially since what German scientists have concluded came in the words of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, as he said: “The Hour will not be established until time is contracted, and the year is like a month, and the month is like a week, and the week is like a day, and the day is like an hour.” This convergence of time is real… contrary to what some scholars of hadith have interpreted as meaning the blessing of time disappearing.
Evidence of the relationship between climate change and the nearing of the Hour is the saying of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: “Al-Mahdi will come in a year of many earthquakes,” and Imam Muslim narrated in his Sahih, with his chain of transmission from Abu Huraira, may Allah be pleased with him, from the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, that he said: “The Hour will not be established until time is contracted, and the year is like a month, and the month is like a week, and the week is like a day, and the day is like an hour.”
This convergence of time is real… contrary to what some scholars of hadith have interpreted as meaning the blessing of time disappearing. And from what indicates the relationship of climate change to the nearness of the Hour, is what the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “The Hour will not be established until the land of the Arabs returns to being pastures and rivers.” Hadith number 1681.
And scientific studies show that the Rub’ al Khali Desert – which is considered one of the most barren and dry parts of the Earth – has been proven to have numbers of dry lakes and ancient waterways buried beneath its sandy dunes, and that those seas and waterways were on it, but will we return before it to Allah?!
