Egypt refuses ‘Israel’ coordination on entry of aid into Gaza

Egypt’s state-affiliated Alqahera News satellite TV reported on Saturday, quoting a senior official, that Egypt has refused to coordinate with “Israel” for the entry of aid into Gaza through the Rafah crossing, citing “Israel’s” “unacceptable escalation.”

The official further mentioned Egypt’s stance regarding the war on Gaza, holding “Israel” accountable for the deteriorating situation in the Gaza Strip.

Israeli forces had seized control of the main border crossing at Rafah on May 7, effectively closing off a crucial route for aid into the besieged Strip.

According to reports from the United Nations and other international aid agencies, the closure of the Rafah crossing has severely restricted the flow of aid into southern Gaza, leaving the Strip isolated from external assistance, with very few supplies accessible within its confines.

Sources from the Red Crescent in Egypt revealed that aid shipments to Gaza have come to a complete standstill.

In the past 24 hours, Israeli occupation forces committed four massacres against families and civilians in Gaza, killing 28 Palestinians and injuring 69 others. 

This brings the total death toll to 34,971 Palestinians murdered by “Israel” and 78,641 injured. Victims are still trapped beneath the rubble as rescue and civil defense teams are unable to reach them. 

The IOF killed dozens of Palestinian civilians overnight Saturday as they continued waging brutal, indiscriminate airstrikes all over the Gaza Strip.

One of the airstrikes killed Palestinian journalist Bahaa Akasheh, his wife, and his son after their house in the Jabaliya refugee camp of northern Gaza was bombarded. With Akasheh’s death, the number of Gaza journalists killed in the Strip has risen to 143, according to the Gaza Government Media Office.

On another note, a field commander in Gaza said today that the Israeli occupation forces partially withdrew from the vicinity of al-Zaytoun Clinic after fierce confrontations with the Palestinian resistance south of Gaza City. 

He informed that in the past two days, the resistance struck IOF troops positioned in the vicinity of al-Zaytoun Clinic using mortar shells and anti-armor missiles. 

The commander also said that the Israeli occupation tanks have been redeployed near the Dawlah Intersection on Salah al-Din Road, south of the neighborhood adding that on more than one axis in the al-Zaytoun neighborhood, artillery and aerial bombings are ongoing. 

He stressed the area surrounding Al-Madaris Street in Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip is widely destroyed.
