Threat from the head of the Workers’ Council at the Aerospace Manufacturing Company, Yair Katz, to use nuclear weapons if the Israeli occupation faces a threat to its existence.
According to the Hebrew site, this company produces “Jericho” missiles capable of carrying nuclear warheads. Katz added: “We have a weapon that breaks the equation. The Americans, the British, and the Germans help us on the intelligence side, and their assistance is crucial. If there is an existential threat, we have a doomsday weapon.”
The Israeli Aerospace Manufacturing Company is responsible for producing several weapons used by the Israeli occupation army, including fighter jets, military helicopters, drones, missiles, and satellites.
“The solution is to strike Gaza with nuclear [weapons].”
These statements from the Israeli official are not far from previous statements made by several officials and ministers in the occupying state. Last January 24th, Israeli Minister of Jerusalem Affairs and Heritage, Amir Ohana, reiterated his statement calling for dropping a nuclear bomb on Gaza, as reported by the Israeli newspaper Haaretz.
The Hebrew newspaper reported that Ohana repeated his previous statement during a visit to Hebron in the southern West Bank.
Earlier, on November 1st, Ohana made his first statement about bombing Gaza with a nuclear bomb, sparking negative international reactions.
Former Knesset member Moshe Feiglin also called for the use of nuclear weapons against Gaza on his X platform account. He posted a picture of the Japanese city of Hiroshima after it was destroyed by the American atomic bomb in 1945 during World War II, and wrote succinctly: “How many American soldiers were killed in the battle of Hiroshima?”
On October 11th last year, Knesset member Tali Gottleib urged the Israeli army to “use nuclear weapons” in Gaza. The Likud party deputy wrote: “Jericho missile! Jericho missile! Strategic alert. Before considering deploying troops. Doomsday weapon! That’s my opinion,” referring to nuclear weapons.
On May 12th last year, Republican US Senator Lindsey Graham claimed that the Israeli occupation had the right to strike Gaza with a nuclear bomb, as his country did with the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki to end World War II, describing it as the right decision.
Graham said in an interview with NBC News: “That was the right decision, a nuclear strike. Give Israel the bombs it needs to end the war, it can’t afford to lose, and work with them to minimize human losses,” according to his claim.
