The Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas, has released new footage showing the targeting of Israeli military forces east of Khan Younis, in the southern Gaza Strip. The video includes a defiant message from one of the resistance fighters directed at Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant.
The video begins with scenes of al-Qassam fighters preparing rocket shells beneath a tunnel and positioning them on launch platforms before targeting the gathering of Israeli soldiers east of Khan Younis.
One of the fighters delivers a message of defiance and mockery, saying: “We tell Netanyahu and Gallant that the drones are useless (..), here we are working under their surveillance, and it doesn’t make a difference to us (..), all for the sake of Allah and seeking His pleasure.”
In a related development, the al-Qassam Brigades announced deadly operations targeting Israeli soldiers and their military vehicles, noting that their fighters managed to detonate two anti-personnel explosives in two Israeli military vehicles south of Gaza City.
The Brigades added that they engaged the remaining soldiers with machine guns, leaving them either dead or wounded in the vicinity of the University College in the Tel al-Hawa neighborhood, south of Gaza City. They also observed the evacuation of casualties by helicopter.
Meanwhile, the al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement, announced that they had launched a rocket barrage at the “Re’im” military site, while their fighters engaged in fierce clashes with Israeli soldiers on the eastern front of the Qarara area, north of Khan Younis.
Yesterday, the al-Qassam Brigades released footage showing the use of a previously undisclosed suicide drone against Israeli forces in Khan Younis.
The drone featured in the footage differs from those used in previous wars with Israel, such as the Shehab and Zuari suicide drones.
The footage shows one of the al-Qassam fighters installing an explosive capsule in the drone, which is equipped with a camera providing live footage to the operator, allowing the drone to strike its target with precision.
The video captures the drone flying over several houses before diving onto one, which al-Qassam claims was occupied by Israeli soldiers.
Since the beginning of the aggression on Gaza, al-Qassam has launched numerous drones at Israeli forces across various areas, highlighting that the Zuari suicide drone has a significant capability to inflict casualties on soldiers due to the large amount of shrapnel released upon explosion.
