The Al-Qassam Brigades have released unprecedented footage of an ambush they executed in the Netzarim area, a strategic point separating the northern and southern parts of the Gaza Strip, following their successful infiltration into the exposed and completely devastated region.
The footage shows the fighters entering the open area with their equipment and explosive devices, which were used in the ambush. This area is a known passage for occupation forces’ vehicles, located south of the Tel al-Hawa neighborhood in Gaza City.
The fighters took cover in a house after monitoring the path of the vehicles, preparing and planting the explosives along the route, and then waiting for their target to arrive.
The fighters targeted two Humvee vehicles belonging to the occupation forces, detonating two explosive devices that resulted in deadly injuries to the soldiers inside. They then emerged to finish off the remaining survivors by firing directly at them.
One of the fighters confirmed that those who executed the ambush were new recruits, enlisted by the brigades in 2024, and not former Qassam fighters. All participants withdrew safely to their bases and returned to Gaza without any injuries.
It is noteworthy that the occupation army admitted yesterday to the death of two soldiers from a logistical support unit during a mission in the Tel al-Hawa area.
The occupation army also noted that explosive devices had detonated near two military vehicles, and that gunfire was directed at them following the Qassam fighters’ emergence from the ambush site, but the fighters were not hit and successfully withdrew from the area.
Additionally, the Al-Qassam Brigades reported in a statement that their fighters “managed to detonate a barrel bomb and a collision device on enemy forces dismounted from their vehicles west of the Al-Hawouz area, west of Hamad City, north of Khan Younis, causing deaths and injuries among them.”
Meanwhile, the occupation army announced that one soldier was critically wounded in the southern Gaza Strip after being hit by an anti-tank missile fired at him.
