From the very moment Hezbollah announced a large-scale aerial attack using numerous drones and missiles deep into Israeli-occupied territories, social media users swiftly began sharing the footage released by Hezbollah, documenting key strikes against Israeli positions.
In addition to the killing of an Israeli naval soldier on Sunday during clashes with Hezbollah in northern Israel, an Israeli power company reported restoring electricity to the city of Acre (in the north) after it was cut off due to Hezbollah’s shelling.
Hezbollah also released several images of Israeli bases and military outposts, claiming to have targeted them in the first phase of its retaliation for the assassination of its military commander, Fouad Shukr, early Sunday morning.
The footage, which received widespread attention, included images of the Beit Hillel base, headquarters of the “Valley Battalion,” the Zaura battery, a permanent artillery battery site belonging to Brigade 769, the Ramot Naftali outpost, a border company headquarters, the Kela outpost, headquarters for the air and missile defense department of Division 210, and the Ein Zeitim base, headquarters of the Northern Corps Command.
Also targeted were the Yarden outpost, headquarters of the artillery battalion and armored brigade of Division 210, the Yoav outpost, the Meron airbase, which serves as the air control and monitoring center in northern occupied Palestine, as well as the Nafha base, headquarters of Division 210.
According to Hezbollah, “a number of enemy sites, outposts, and Iron Dome platforms in northern occupied Palestine were targeted with a large number of rockets,” and that their operations will take time, after which they will issue a detailed statement regarding the outcomes and objectives.
Hezbollah further confirmed that “the number of rockets fired so far has exceeded 320, targeting enemy positions.” The group added that its attacks have struck 11 military bases and outposts in northern Israel.
Hezbollah emphasized that the resistance in Lebanon is at the highest level of readiness and will stand firm against any Israeli transgression or attack, warning that if civilians are targeted, the “Zionist enemy” will face severe and harsh consequences.
The group also indicated that the airstrike began against a significant Israeli military target, details of which would be announced later, stating that “this attack is part of the initial response to the martyrdom of Commander Fouad Shukr.”
Israeli Losses:
Sunna Files Website tracked several posts on the social media platform “X” documenting, with audio and video, the most significant Israeli losses following the announcement of Hezbollah’s attacks.
While Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu claimed that his country’s military had launched a “strong preemptive strike against Hezbollah,” threatening that “this is not the end of the story” and that “the Israeli army intercepted all the drones launched by Hezbollah toward a strategic target in the center of the country,” various clips and images have surfaced showing the visible extent of Israel’s losses, as of now.
Losses According to Israeli Sources:
The Hebrew economic website Globes revealed that the so-called “preemptive strike,” carried out by Israel early Sunday morning against Hezbollah, cost approximately $120 million, prompting some social media users to say, “A witness from among them has spoken,” in reference to the notion that Israel’s losses are multifaceted, with some being public and others concealed.
The same Hebrew website quoted an official in Israel’s defense industry as saying, “Around 4,000 JDAM bombs were used, each costing $25,000,” with the official estimating the cost of operating approximately 100 fighter jets for six hours at $18 million. He added that operating drones for 12 hours costs around $1.08 million.
Additionally, the Hebrew newspaper Haaretz reported on what it described as the “negative effects” of Israel’s aggression on Gaza, ongoing for over 10 months, on the Israeli economy, highlighting the closure of several startups within the country.
The newspaper noted that “many startups in Israel have either closed or reduced their activities in the past year, particularly in recent months,” emphasizing that “some investors have withdrawn from investments due to security conditions and economic and political uncertainty.”
These attacks mark the most extensive confrontations between the two sides since they began on October 8. Lebanese and Palestinian factions in Lebanon, most notably Hezbollah, have continued clashes with the Israeli military, with near-daily shelling across the “Blue Line” border.
The factions are conditioning a halt to the shelling on the end of Israel’s brutal war, which it continues to wage with American support across the entirety of the besieged Gaza Strip for months, flagrantly violating all international laws related to human rights while the international community watches.
