The Palestinian Resistance is strongly confronting the Israeli occupation, inflicting significant losses on the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) as they continue their large-scale invasion of the northern West Bank. In the early hours of Friday, Israeli forces intensified their focus on Jenin and Nablus.
A correspondent on the ground in occupied Palestine confirmed that the Palestinian Resistance engaged the Israeli occupation forces in al-Damj, Jenin, forcing them to call for reinforcements.
In addition, the IOF surrounded a Palestinian home in the village of al-Zababda, southeast of Jenin, and launched multiple grenades at it, while preventing Palestinian Red Crescent teams from reaching those trapped inside.
The correspondent also reported that three Palestinians were killed in the same village when the IOF bombed their car, with the Israeli forces currently holding their bodies. Moreover, the IOF fired at several other Palestinian homes in al-Damj and targeted a mosque in the eastern neighborhood of Jenin. The Israeli occupation also initiated an arrest campaign against Palestinians.
A curfew was then declared in Jenin’s Old Town and the village of Sibat, as reported by the correspondent.
In the ongoing confrontation, the al-Qassam Brigades’ Jenin Brigade announced that it had ambushed occupation soldiers in the eastern neighborhood with pre-planned explosive devices, resulting in the death of an Israeli soldier.
Similarly, the al-Quds Brigades’ Jenin Brigade stated that it engaged in intense confrontations with occupation forces in the al-Damj area, confirming that its fighters targeted the IOF with heavy gunfire, achieving direct hits.
The Brigades also reported that its fighters detonated a pre-planned explosive device against an Israeli D9 military bulldozer in the same area. They further detonated explosive devices targeting IOF infantry on the Al-Bayader axis, resulting in confirmed injuries.
Meanwhile, the al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades’ Jenin Brigade confirmed that its fighters engaged in fierce clashes with the occupation forces in the city’s eastern neighborhood.
In Nablus, the al-Quds Brigades confronted occupation forces storming the al-Balata camp, while the al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades targeted occupation soldiers with heavy gunfire.
A media correspondent reported that Resistance fighters fired at Israeli soldiers in the town of Dahlet al-Tur in Nablus, while the IOF targeted Palestinian homes in the city and arrested five Palestinians.
The Israeli occupation also raided the Ain Camp in Nablus, as well as the towns of Naalin and Jifna in Ramallah, and the town of Sair in northeastern al-Khalil.
Late Tuesday night, the Israeli occupation forces launched what is expected to be the largest aggression in 22 years on several governorates in the occupied West Bank.
The Israeli military command stated that its forces had initiated a “wide-scale operation” in the governorates of Tulkarm and Jenin, specifically targeting Resistance fighters.
