Media outlets have reported that three volleys of rockets were launched from southern Lebanon towards sites in northern occupied Palestine in the second attack within hours by Hezbollah.
Israel’s Channel 12 stated that it detected the launch of 15 rockets early Sunday morning from southern Lebanon towards Israeli towns in the north.
Additionally, sirens blared across Galilee, Nazareth, and the Jezreel Valley in the northern occupied territories.
In the early hours of Sunday, the Lebanese Hezbollah declared, “We targeted the Ramat David Airbase and Airport southeast of Haifa with dozens of Fadi 1 and Fadi 2 rockets, in retaliation for the repeated Israeli assaults on various regions of Lebanon and in support of the Palestinian resistance.”
In response, the Israeli occupation army claimed that its air defenses detected the launch of 10 rocket shells from Lebanon towards the north, with most of them intercepted.
It reported rocket impacts or debris in five locations east of Haifa and power outages in certain areas.
Meanwhile, the newspaper Israel Today cited sources saying that most of the rockets and their fragments were intercepted, with debris falling in open areas.
Media sources also reported that sirens continuously sounded in several areas east and south of Haifa in the occupied territories.
They added that sirens were heard in Yokneam, Nazareth, Afula, Migdal HaEmek, the Jezreel Valley, and Mount Carmel, as well as in the Syrian Golan.
Interceptor rockets were also launched from Nazareth to repel the attacks from Lebanon.
Hebrew media mentioned that air defenses in the skies over Nazareth were attempting to intercept rockets launched from southern Lebanon.
Media reports also indicated that explosions were heard near the Nahalal area adjacent to the Ramat David Airbase in the Jezreel Valley, east of Haifa.
Activists on social media shared images of fires that broke out after rockets launched from Lebanon landed.
