Hezbollah announced that its forces have continued to repel the occupation’s attempts at a ground incursion for days in southern Lebanon, inflicting significant human and material losses, while maintaining a steady barrage of rocket fire deep into occupied territories.
In a series of military statements, Hezbollah reported that its fighters “targeted a Merkava tank near the Israeli site of al-Malikiyah with a guided missile, causing it to catch fire and leaving its crew either dead or injured.”
Additionally, its fighters launched rocket strikes on the “Kiryot area in the Haifa suburbs and the enemy’s artillery positions south of Kiryat Shmona.”
A statement from the group confirmed that Israeli soldiers were killed and wounded in an attack on “a convoy of enemy vehicles and soldiers” in the Maroun al-Ras border plains using artillery shells.
Other targets included the “Rweisat al-Alam area in the occupied Kfar Shuba hills, Karmiel settlement, and clusters of enemy vehicles and soldiers in Saasa’ with a heavy Burkan missile, as well as Kiryat Shmona with a volley of rockets.”
Hezbollah also declared that it had bombarded the “Nafah military base and a gathering of soldiers near the al-Baghdadi site in northern occupied Palestine with a heavy barrage of rockets.”
The group added that its fighters had also struck several gatherings of Israeli soldiers in eastern Doviv, Maroun al-Ras plains, near Avivim settlement, and Yaron settlement with large rocket volleys.
According to the same reports, Hezbollah targeted an Israeli unit advancing towards Bayader al-Adas west of Yaron with artillery shells and a rocket barrage.
Additional Israeli targets included the Katsrin base, a gathering of soldiers in Kfar Giladi, and the Hatzor settlement with rocket salvos.
Hezbollah’s statements further mentioned that when Israeli soldiers attempted to infiltrate the Lebanese village of Maroun al-Ras, its fighters detonated three explosive devices on the advancing forces, followed by direct clashes that resulted in several deaths and injuries among the Israeli troops.
Since Tuesday, the occupation has been facing fierce resistance from Hezbollah fighters, suffering significant losses in both troops and equipment. The occupation forces were compelled to retreat from the town of Kafr Kila after hours of infiltration, due to severe strikes. The retreat left behind an armored vehicle loaded with explosives, which they failed to detonate.
So far, the occupation army has acknowledged the death of 12 of its soldiers and the injury of over 40 others. Media outlets reported that helicopter evacuations of dead and wounded personnel from northern occupied Palestine to occupation hospitals have been non-stop.
Moreover, on Friday, Hebrew media reported the outbreak of several fires in the occupied Golan Heights and the Upper Galilee region in northern occupied Palestine, following rocket launches from Lebanon.
The Hebrew newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth reported that multiple rockets launched from southern Lebanon towards the Golan Heights and the Upper Galilee caused several fires to erupt in the Katzrin settlement in the Golan Heights, with three rescue teams working to contain them.
According to the newspaper, another fire broke out in the Hatsot HaGlilit settlement in the Upper Galilee due to the interception of a rocket from southern Lebanon, which firefighting teams were able to bring under control.
