On Saturday, Hezbollah revealed that its forces had carried out a drone attack targeting the outskirts of occupied Tel Aviv.
The party did not specify whether the attack occurred on Saturday or Friday. However, the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) issued a statement on Friday evening confirming damage to a building in the city of Herzliya, part of the greater Tel Aviv area, following the launch of two drones from Lebanon.
This marks the first instance of the Israeli army acknowledging drones from Lebanon reaching Tel Aviv since the escalation on the Lebanon front, which began on October 8, 2023. This confrontation has recently intensified into a full-scale war between Israel and Lebanon.
Herzliya is located just a few kilometers away from key strategic targets, including Ben Gurion Airport in Lod (Tel Aviv’s primary airport), the Israeli Ministry of Defense headquarters, and a major power plant in Tel Aviv.
In another statement, Hezbollah announced that its forces had launched a rocket barrage targeting the Homa base in the occupied Syrian Golan Heights.
Additionally, Hezbollah forces struck the Ma’ale Golani barracks (in the occupied Golan Heights) with a salvo of rockets, according to the party’s statement.
The Israeli private “Channel 12” reported that the Israeli army had detected the launch of 10 rockets from southern Lebanon toward the Golan Heights, with some intercepted while others fell in open areas.
According to the channel, the rocket fire did not result in any casualties.
Sirens were heard in the town of Majdal Shams and the Kiryat Zvi settlement in the Golan Heights, the channel added.
In a separate statement, Hezbollah confirmed that its forces had targeted a gathering of Israeli occupation forces in the Kfar Giladi settlement (in northern Galilee) with a rocket barrage.
