In a series of coordinated attacks, Palestinian Resistance factions targeted Israeli forces and military positions across northern Gaza, inflicting significant damage on the equipment and personnel of the invading forces.
The al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, successfully destroyed an Israeli Merkava tank east of Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza using a powerful explosive device. A second tank was hit with an Al-Yassin-105 anti-tank rocket-propelled grenade near the Shadia School, west of the camp.
The al-Qassam Brigades’ military media released footage documenting the ambush of Israeli special forces, who were lured into a pre-rigged house near the Safatawi junction, west of Jabalia.
Meanwhile, al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement, eliminated an Israeli infantry unit in a close-quarters firefight in the Abu Sharar area, in the heart of the Jabalia refugee camp.
The group’s military media shared video footage showing the destruction of Israeli soldiers and equipment, alongside rocket strikes on the Israeli settlements of Sderot and Nir Am in the Gaza envelope.
In a show of unity among Palestinian Resistance factions, the Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades, the military wing of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), and the al-Nasser Salah al-Din Brigades, the military wing of the Popular Resistance Committees, launched coordinated mortar attacks on two Israeli command and control centers.
One strike hit the Netzarim area, southwest of Gaza City, while the second targeted Israeli forces in Juhr al-Deek, north of the central Gaza Strip.
Resistance amid stifling siege
The Resistance fighters are fending off the Israeli occupation forces with little-to-no-supplies due to the stifling siege imposed by the Israeli occupation forces on northern Gaza, which is affecting civilians just as much as it is Resistance fighters.
The Israeli occupation heavily shelled various parts of northern Gaza throughout the night, media correspondent in the Strip said early Friday. Gaza’s Civil Defense announced that the bodies of several children were pulled out after another home was struck in al-Nasr Street, west Gaza City.
In southernmost Gaza City, Israeli tanks opened fire on the northern part of the al-Zaytoun neighborhood.
Tragedies continue to unfold across the Strip as the siege on northern Gaza continues for the 14th consecutive day, during which residents are deprived of access to basic needs for survival.
On October 17, the Israeli forces carried out another massacre in a school housing displaced Palestinians in northern Gaza as they gathered for lunch.
In the Jabalia refugee camp, the occupation forces bombed the Abu Hussein school murdering at least 28 and injuring another 160, according to Gaza’s government media office.
The strike caused fires to break out in tents placed in the school’s yard. According to a medical source, some of the injured are in severe condition.
