The Al-Qassam Brigades announced that they launched an attack on the command headquarters of the occupation forces in the northern Gaza Strip, near the Jabalia refugee camp club, engaging in intense clashes with the soldiers.
In a military statement, Al-Qassam clarified that its fighters targeted the occupation army’s headquarters with an “RPG” anti-fortification missile, followed by a direct confrontation with the occupying soldiers inside the headquarters using automatic and light weapons, causing several casualties among the enemy forces, both dead and injured.
They reported the sighting of two evacuation helicopters, highlighting that the headquarters is equipped with surveillance cameras capable of monitoring a 45-kilometer radius around it.
Furthermore, Al-Qassam broadcasted compelling footage of an ambush they carried out against an engineering unit of the occupation, which was attempting to plant large quantities of explosives to demolish Palestinian homes.
The footage showed Al-Qassam fighters preparing the ambush site. One of the fighters mocked the occupation’s so-called “Generals’ Plan,” which aims to displace residents, sending a message of solidarity to the people of Jabalia camp, praising their resilience, and dedicating their resistance efforts to the steadfast “Sabireen” (the patient ones).
The ambush led to the destruction of two bulldozers and other military vehicles belonging to the occupation. The fighters documented the moment when one of the bulldozers was overturned, while another Al-Qassam fighter set a second bulldozer ablaze after the occupation forces failed to retrieve it.
Despite the brutal massacres committed by the occupation, including forced displacement and killings of camp residents who refused to abandon their homes, the resistance continues to inflict blows on the invading forces.
On Tuesday, the Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas, released footage showing the destruction of an Israeli Merkava tank by a powerful explosive device in Tal al-Za’tar, east of Jabalia camp, in the northern Gaza Strip.
The clip, filmed from two angles, captured the moment of a massive explosion targeting the tank as it emerged from a narrow street. The footage also showed the subsequent detonation of the tank’s ammunition shortly after it was destroyed by the powerful explosive device.
Additionally, Al-Qassam claimed responsibility for the killing of Colonel Ihsan Daqqasa, commander of the Israeli army’s “401st Brigade,” on October 20th, in Jabalia camp.
According to details revealed by the brigades, a “television-type” anti-personnel explosive device was detonated on Sunday afternoon, targeting a group of 12 Israeli officers in the Falouja area, west of the camp, resulting in multiple casualties among them.
Among the injured was a commander of a battalion within the brigade, who suffered severe injuries, as later acknowledged by the occupation army following the operation.
Regarding the details of Colonel Daqqasa’s death reported by Israeli media, the army radio stated that he arrived at Jabalia camp along with other officers aboard two tanks to conduct an operational review.
The army radio reported that the officers disembarked from the tanks about 20 meters away from the designated review point to observe the combat zone, at which point the explosive device detonated.
According to military reports, the Palestinian resistance detonated the device remotely using a wire that could activate the explosive upon pressing or pulling.
It is worth mentioning that Daqqasa was the highest-ranking officer to be killed by resistance fire since the beginning of the ground battles in the Gaza Strip, making him the sixth colonel to fall.
