The Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah has announced a new tally of Israeli losses sustained in the battles raging in southern Lebanon for over a month now.
In a recent statement, Hezbollah reported that “the enemy’s losses, as documented by Islamic Resistance fighters since the onset of what the enemy has termed the ‘ground maneuver,’ have now reached over 90 fatalities and more than 750 injuries among Israeli officers and soldiers.”
Additionally, the statement outlined the destruction of 38 Merkava tanks, four military bulldozers, a Hummer vehicle, an armored personnel carrier, a troop transport, and the downing of three Hermes 450 drones and one Hermes 900, according to Hezbollah’s report.
Hezbollah emphasized that these figures exclude Israeli losses within their bases, military outposts, barracks, and occupied settlements and cities.
The statement also highlighted several recent strikes, including the shelling of Israeli forces stationed in the Al-Hammams area, south of the town of Al-Khiam, marking Hezbollah’s second and third rocket strikes on this gathering within a short period.
Additionally, Hezbollah confirmed targeting a Merkava tank with a guided missile in the Al-Hammams area, setting it ablaze and causing casualties among its crew. Another concentrated rocket strike was launched on Israeli occupation forces in the Al-Yaaqouq area near Al-Khiam, inflicting significant damage. Hezbollah also claimed responsibility for a rocket attack on Israeli forces in the settlement of Rosh Pina.
October alone has seen Israeli losses escalate to 71 dead among soldiers and settlers across various fronts, including Gaza, Lebanon, the West Bank, and even a drone attack from Iraq.
Over the weekend, the Israeli army admitted to the loss of ten soldiers in under 24 hours in the intense confrontations between Hezbollah fighters and Israeli ground forces attempting to advance in southern Lebanon.
Since September 23, Israeli forces have launched an unprecedented air assault on numerous locations across Lebanon, leading to thousands of casualties and injuries and the displacement of over 1.2 million people, as per official Lebanese reports.
In response, Hezbollah has continued its operations against Israeli forces, expanding the scope of its attacks as a form of resistance to Israel’s ongoing aggression against Lebanon, which began with a dramatic escalation in Israeli offensives on Lebanese soil.
