According to a report by CNN, a well-informed source stated that “the recent Israeli attacks on Iran will be met with a ‘decisive and painful’ response, likely before the onset of the U.S. presidential elections.”
The network added that “the statements indicate a shift in Iran’s initial positions, which played down the severity of the strikes carried out by Israel on October 25, marking the first time Israel has openly acknowledged striking Iranian targets.”
The source noted, “The Islamic Republic of Iran’s response to the Zionist regime’s aggression will be decisive and painful.”
Although the source did not provide an exact date for the counterattack, they hinted that “it is likely to occur before the U.S. presidential election day (scheduled for November 5th).”
Earlier, Iranian Defense Minister, Aziz Nasir Zadeh, stated that Iran’s missile production has not faced any disruption following the Israeli airstrikes on Iranian territory on October 26.
Two days ago, Nasr Zadeh confirmed that the latest Israeli attack caused minor damage, which was immediately compensated for.
Israeli media have reported that recovering from the last strike on Iran’s missile capabilities would take at least a year.
IRNA, the official news agency, quoted Nasr Zadeh saying that Israel, continuing its aggression in the region, violates all international law norms.
He added: “The recent attacks by the Israeli regime against Iran caused minor damages, which were promptly addressed using our scientific knowledge and strength.”
On another note, Israeli War Minister Yoav Gallant said on Monday that Iran is in a weakened position that could be exploited in the future.
Gallant added during a meeting with air force commanders: “You have conducted precise strikes on their radars and air defense systems, creating a significant vulnerability for the enemy when we choose to strike again.”
Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ismail Baqai commented on the latest Israeli attack on his country, stating that Iran “will use all available tools to respond to Israel strictly and proportionately,” and affirmed that “Tehran will not relinquish its legal right to respond to the Zionist entity.”
On October 26th, the occupying state launched an attack on “military sites” in Iran, in response to the Iranian missile strike at the beginning of the month.
