The past October was burdensome for the occupation, having recorded an unprecedented toll in the number of losses and fatalities due to the escalation of Lebanese and Palestinian resistance operations alike.
The occupation forces recorded 88 fatalities in October following a series of diverse operations on both the Gaza and Lebanon fronts, which included rocket launches, offensive drones, and deadly ambushes of the occupation forces.
More than a third of the fatalities occurred during the ground operations of the occupation army in Southern Lebanon, but the fighting this month also inflicted severe losses in Gaza. Despite a year since the war began, 19 soldiers were killed there, while another 11, including police force members, died due to operations in the interior.
The newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth reported that 6 soldiers were killed due to strikes from drones, in addition to 13 civilians who fell victim to rockets or shrapnel in the North.
The newspaper added that 37 soldiers and officers were killed in Lebanon and on the northern border since the Israeli army forces began their ground entry into Southern Lebanon since September 23 last year.
Even a year after the operations began in Gaza, the battles in the sector continue to exact a heavy blood toll, with 19 soldiers killed during October, in addition to another soldier killed in an operational incident near the border.
