Days after the death of the painter who insulted the Prophet Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, the Wahhabi movement brought out stupid statements to us by the former director-general of the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice, which is run by the Wahhabi movement in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which sparked controversy on social networking sites again after he said that “not There is evidence that prevents mercy from the infidel.”
Ahmed Al-Ghamdi, said in an interview on Al-Arabiya channel, last Friday: “I think that it is permissible to seek mercy on the infidel because it is not seeking forgiveness, and God Almighty has separated, but rather prohibited seeking forgiveness (it was not for the Prophet and those who believed to ask forgiveness for the polytheists) and this is only forbidden to seek forgiveness.” , as described. In his words, this is a clear violation of what the Muslims have agreed upon and a clear violation of the clear Qur’an and Sunnah.
What is the rule for asking for mercy (saying Rahimahu-L Lah) on non-Muslims?
Compassion for the infidel and praying for him is one of the forbidden things that are agreed upon. Rather, the scholars have gone to the view that whoever has mercy on non-Muslims will leave Islam and must pronounce the two testimonies to return to Islam. And from transgression in supplication: For the Almighty’s saying:
It is not permissible for an unbeliever to pray for him or to pray for him for mercy or forgiveness, and whoever prays for an unbeliever for mercy and forgiveness has deviated from the way of the believers.
The Egyptian Dar Al-Iftaa says: If you see someone who is not your own and has beautiful qualities, you can admire him. As for mercy, let us differentiate between two things: God Almighty took upon himself that he does not forgive those who died in polytheism, and therefore seeking forgiveness is not legitimate.
The Muslim must exert his effort in understanding his religion, and beware of penitences and major sins in order to save himself first.
And let him warn his brothers and whoever he sees falling into it – as much as possible -, God Almighty said:
