On Saturday evening, Israeli occupation forces executed three detainees from Gaza shortly after releasing them as they were returning to their families in Gaza City.
Local sources reported that the Israeli military released the three detainees from the Zikim military base, located north of the Gaza Strip. However, as they made their way home along the coastal road near al-Khalidi Mosque, just kilometers from where they had been released, a drone targeted and struck them.
The bodies of the three martyrs were later transported to the al-Shifa Medical Complex in Gaza. The victims were identified as Ali and Nadi Ma’rouf, elderly men, and young Hamza al-Hattou.
Sources further explained that the three had been detained during an Israeli incursion into northern Gaza in October, where they faced severe abuse and torture before their lives were taken.
Meanwhile, Israeli forces committed further atrocities in various parts of Gaza on Sunday, especially in Gaza City and Jabalia, as the campaign of what has been termed “genocidal warfare” entered its 401st consecutive day.
At least 32 Palestinians were killed, with others wounded or missing, in another massacre by Israeli forces on Sunday. The attack targeted a crowded house in the Jabalia area in northern Gaza.
Eyewitnesses reported that the Israeli military bombed a densely populated home sheltering the displaced al-Alloush family in Jabalia, resulting in the complete destruction of the house. Rescuers managed to recover 32 bodies, including 13 children, alongside numerous injured victims.
Witnesses also noted that several individuals remain missing beneath the rubble of the destroyed home, but no resources are available to recover them. Emergency and civil defense teams cannot reach the site due to the siege imposed by Israeli forces on Jabalia, who reportedly target any rescue attempts.
In Gaza’s al-Sabra neighborhood, several citizens lost their lives, and others sustained injuries on Sunday when Israeli forces struck the home of the Abu Marzouq al-Khor family near the al-Salam Mosque. Five people were martyred, and rescue operations are ongoing to search for missing persons.
As of this latest, unofficial toll, the death count since the beginning of the Gaza aggression on October 7, 2023, has risen to approximately 43,552, with 102,765 injured, most of whom are women and children. Thousands remain trapped under rubble and on the streets, inaccessible due to the ongoing hostilities.
