Activists on social media have circulated videos showcasing messages left by Hezbollah fighters for the families whose homes they had to stay in during the Israeli occupation’s aggression on Lebanese territories and its ground incursions into southern regions.
The footage captures moments of emotional reactions, such as when a woman returning to her home in southern Lebanon after the ceasefire agreement expressed her happiness upon learning that Hezbollah fighters had entered her home during her displacement.
A video documents the words of this Lebanese woman as she noticed traces left by Hezbollah fighters in her home, saying, “They were here. It’s an honor for me. My house is blessed by their presence and their prayers.”
Additionally, other footage widely shared on social media platforms shows messages left by Hezbollah fighters for the homeowners whose properties they entered during battles with the Israeli occupation forces, which lasted for the past two months.
In these messages, Hezbollah fighters apologized to the residents for entering their homes, staying there, and taking some food and water during the Israeli aggression on Lebanon.
On Wednesday morning, a ceasefire agreement between Hezbollah and the Israeli occupation took effect following mutual confrontations that began in October 2023. These confrontations escalated into a brutal aggression and ground invasion over the past two months, resulting in thousands of martyrs and wounded.
The agreement between the two sides included several key provisions, notably Washington and Paris’s role in ensuring its implementation. It also stipulated the withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces from southern Lebanon within 60 days, during which the Lebanese army would deploy along the border, crossing points, and southern regions.
The Lebanese forces would become the sole entity permitted to carry weapons in southern Lebanon. This would involve dismantling military infrastructure, confiscating unauthorized weapons, and ensuring compliance with the agreement. However, the agreement does not revoke the inherent right of either Israel or Lebanon to self-defense.
