The Al-Qassam Brigades have unveiled a highly complex security operation conducted in Jabalia refugee camp, where one of their fighters detonated himself in an attack on Israeli occupation forces.
Through their official Telegram channel, the Brigades stated that one of their fighters succeeded in eliminating an Israeli sniper and his assistant at point-blank range earlier this Friday afternoon in Jabalia camp.
They added: “An hour after the incident, the fighter disguised himself in Israeli military attire, infiltrated a group of six Israeli soldiers, and detonated himself using an explosive belt, leaving casualties between dead and wounded.”
This marks the first operation of its kind executed by the Al-Qassam Brigades and the resistance in Gaza against Israeli soldiers within the sector since the onset of the ground invasion more than a year ago.
Over the past few days, Al-Qassam and other resistance factions have disclosed a series of ambushes and strikes targeting Israeli soldiers in various parts of Jabalia camp. These included operations in areas such as the Khalifa Mosque and the Imad Aqel area, where the Israeli forces have demolished buildings entirely, leveling them to the ground.
Al-Qassam also revealed that yesterday marked their first stabbing operation against Israeli soldiers in Jabalia camp. A fighter managed to stab an officer and three soldiers, seize their weapons, and withdraw safely from the location.
For over two months, the resistance in Jabalia and northern Gaza has engaged Israeli occupation forces in near-daily operations and ambushes, inflicting heavy losses. According to Hebrew media outlets, despite the significant military strength deployed in northern Gaza, the losses among Israeli officers and soldiers have been substantial. Notably, the commander of the 401st Brigade was killed by an improvised explosive device (IED) after being tracked in the camp.
