Former U.S. President Donald Trump has once again called for the forced displacement of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip, stating on Thursday that “Egypt and Jordan should accept them.”
Trump made these remarks while responding to questions from journalists at the White House regarding ongoing global issues.
When asked whether Egypt and Jordan would accept Palestinians from Gaza, Trump confidently asserted:
“They will do it.”
He further added:
“We have given them (Egypt and Jordan) a lot, and they will comply.”
Israeli Military Supports Trump’s Plan
Previously, the Israeli newspaper “Yedioth Ahronoth” reported that the Israeli occupation army supports Trump’s plan to forcibly transfer over a million Palestinians from Gaza to neighboring countries.
A high-ranking official in the Israeli General Staff confirmed that the occupation army backs the American proposal, as it aligns with Israel’s strategic interests.
The same Israeli source acknowledged that despite ongoing aggression, the military and administrative structure of Hamas has not been defeated, making the occupation’s situation in Gaza increasingly complicated.

The source further stated:
“When Trump brought this up, Israeli officials hesitated to discuss the separation of Palestinians from their land. However, there is a growing perception in Israel that Trump’s statements are not random but rather reflect serious intentions by the U.S. administration.”
Egypt and Jordan Reject Trump’s Plan Amid Widespread Condemnation
Days ago, Trump confirmed that he is pressuring Jordan, Egypt, and other Arab nations to accept more Palestinian refugees from Gaza.
However, both Egypt and Jordan have strongly rejected Washington’s push for Palestinian displacement. This rejection aligns with the widespread Arab and Islamic outrage over Trump’s controversial remarks.
On Wednesday, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi firmly opposed the proposal, stating:
“Egypt will not participate in the displacement and expulsion of the Palestinian people. This is an injustice.”
He emphasized that the forced displacement of Palestinians is completely unacceptable and reaffirmed Egypt’s absolute rejection of any actions that threaten its national security.
Similarly, Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi reiterated his country’s categorical rejection of any forced displacement of Palestinians. He reaffirmed Jordan’s steadfast position in supporting Palestinians’ right to remain on their land.
Israeli Occupation Intensifies Violence in the West Bank
Meanwhile, an Israeli military source highlighted the occupation’s escalating aggression in the occupied West Bank, particularly in Tulkarm and Jenin.
He stated:
“The West Bank is now our main focus. It is a massive operation, and we understand this well. We are using aggressive force in Tulkarm and Jenin, and we will continue this approach.”
The source also acknowledged that the October 7th, 2023 events had reshaped Israeli perceptions of the situation in the West Bank, adding:
“The old assumptions about Hamas and Fatah must now be re-evaluated.”
In a related development, the source urged Israeli political leaders to heed warnings from Israeli Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi regarding the severe shortage of combat soldiers. He called for the acceleration of legislation to conscript ultra-Orthodox (Haredi) Jews into the Israeli occupation army and to extend mandatory military service.
