Saudi Shura Council member, Yusuf bin Trad Al-Saadoun, stated that if former U.S. President Donald Trump wishes to be a champion of peace and achieve stability and prosperity in the Middle East, he should relocate his Israeli allies to the state of Alaska and then to Greenland after annexing it.
In an article published by the Saudi newspaper Okaz, Al-Saadoun emphasized that Trump should recognize that poor decisions are often made by those who tend to ignore the accumulated knowledge and experience of experts in relevant fields and who do not encourage discussions and dialogues with specialists.
He added that Zionists and their allies must understand that they will not be able to lure the Saudi leadership and government into the traps of media maneuvers and false political pressures.
Al-Saadoun pointed out that the ability of Jews to incite sedition and wars has been entrenched throughout human history. Therefore, it is not surprising that many Western countries expelled them from their lands. He also noted their malicious cunning, as they are adept at misleading public awareness and pushing opponents into defensive positions.
On Thursday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated, “I have no objection to establishing a Palestinian state in Saudi Arabia; they have vast areas.” This came during an interview with Israel’s Channel 14, where Netanyahu responded sarcastically to the idea of establishing a Palestinian state.
On Tuesday, Netanyahu claimed that “peace between Israel and Saudi Arabia will be achieved,” stating that he is committed to it. This statement was made during a joint press conference with U.S. President Donald Trump, following bilateral discussions held at the White House.
Saudi Arabia has stipulated on multiple occasions that the Israeli government must agree to the establishment of a Palestinian state in exchange for normalizing relations with it.
In response to a question at the press conference about the possibility of reaching a normalization agreement with Saudi Arabia without establishing a Palestinian state, Netanyahu said, “I believe that peace between Israel and Saudi Arabia is not only possible but will be achieved, and I am committed to that.” He added, addressing Trump, “If you had remained in office for a few more months (after the first term, which lasted from January 20, 2017, to January 20, 2021), this peace would have already been achieved.”
Analysis:
Al-Saadoun’s statements reflect a strong rejection of any plans that undermine Palestinian rights and emphasize the steadfast position of the Saudi leadership against succumbing to external pressures or deceptive maneuvers. His remarks highlight the historical context of Jewish influence and caution against underestimating their ability to manipulate public opinion.
Netanyahu’s recent comments suggest a dismissive attitude towards the establishment of a Palestinian state, proposing alternatives that disregard Palestinian aspirations for self-determination. His assertion of imminent peace with Saudi Arabia without addressing the Palestinian issue indicates a strategic shift that may overlook the core concerns of the Arab and Muslim world.
The Saudi stance remains firm on the condition that normalization with Israel is contingent upon the recognition and establishment of a sovereign Palestinian state. This position underscores the Kingdom’s commitment to the Palestinian cause and its refusal to compromise on fundamental issues related to regional peace and stability.
In conclusion, the discourse surrounding the Israeli-Palestinian conflict continues to evolve, with key regional players maintaining their positions and emphasizing the importance of addressing the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people as a prerequisite for any lasting peace in the Middle East.
