For the first time, the Israeli occupation has revealed details from the final report on the autopsy and tests conducted on the body of Hamas’ political bureau chief, the martyr Yahya Sinwar. The occupation considers this report a crucial intelligence and strategic document, given Sinwar’s role as one of Hamas’ top leaders and the mastermind behind Operation Al-Aqsa Flood on October 7, 2023.
According to Israel’s Kan News channel, toxicology tests on Sinwar’s blood yielded what it described as “interesting results.” Contrary to expectations, no traces of drugs were found in his system, including substances that the occupation claims are used by elite resistance fighters, such as Captagon.
The report explained that a comprehensive test was conducted for various substances, but all results came back negative. The only significant discovery was the presence of a high concentration of caffeine in Sinwar’s blood.
Bullets Left Intact to Conceal the Identity of the Shooter
The report further revealed that Israeli authorities chose not to remove the bullets from Sinwar’s head, a decision that would prevent precise identification of the soldier who fired the fatal shots.
Senior officials in the Israeli occupation army are reportedly analyzing the autopsy report from intelligence and strategic perspectives. While full details have not been disclosed, it is believed that the findings may be used in future military and political operations.
The Battle Over Sinwar’s Body
The report also highlighted that during last week’s ceasefire negotiations, Israel assessed that one of the key reasons for Mohammed Sinwar (a high-ranking Hamas leader) to threaten the collapse of the agreement—and possibly follow through with that threat—was his demand for the return of his brother Yahya Sinwar’s body, which remains unfulfilled.
On October 18, 2024, Hamas officially mourned the martyrdom of Yahya Sinwar, confirming that he had fallen in combat against Israeli soldiers. This announcement came a day after the Israeli occupation army and Shin Bet released a joint statement, claiming they had killed three individuals in a military operation in Gaza, including Sinwar.
Sinwar: The Mastermind of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood
The Israeli occupation considers Yahya Sinwar to be the chief architect of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, which was carried out by Palestinian resistance factions in Gaza, including Hamas and Islamic Jihad, against Israeli military bases and settlements adjacent to the Strip on October 7, 2023. The operation inflicted severe human and military losses on the occupation forces and dealt a major blow to Israel’s intelligence and security agencies on the international stage.
As a result, the occupation publicly declared Sinwar’s assassination a top objective in its ongoing genocidal war on Gaza, which lasted until January 19, 2025.
This brutal war resulted in:
-
- More than 157,000 Palestinian martyrs and wounded, the majority of whom were children and women.
-
- Over 14,000 Palestinians missing, many buried under the rubble.
The revelation of Sinwar’s autopsy report adds another chapter to Israel’s desperate attempts to justify its war crimes in Gaza while continuing to conceal the failures of its intelligence and military operations.
