Blindness didn’t stop Sajida Bilal Abdulrahman (21 years), a Lebanese girl from “Izal” in Dennieh north Lebanon, from memorizing the whole holy Quran.
She is a university student in Anatolia. She said that Allah gave her the ability to memorize the Quran in “braille”, she memorized it day and night and reviewed it with her aunt.
The “braille”, named after its inventor “Louis Braille” is a tactile writing system used by people who are visually impaired to read. That’s why the letters are symbols embossed on paper that help blind people to read by touching them.
Sajida lives with her family of five sisters and two brothers besides her parents. She explains, confidently and gladly, after finishing memorization of the whole Quran after one year, that she memorized the Quran day and night and with the help of her aunt used to read the Quran for her before she got the Quran in the braille form.
She highlighted that what motivated her, along with her family, is the social environment that she lives in, which helps in memorizing the Quran, since a lot of children in her hometown memorized the Quran.
Then she added that after memorizing 14 parts of the Quran, she started teaching it to children and helped them memorize it, “This helped me keep repeating and commit to memory.

She also explained that after she memorized the whole Quran, and put this huge effort into doing so, she understood how all the Prophets memorized by heart the words of Allah without writing them.
